​IFAB- International Film Awards Berlin

The ifab was founded to promote and support the creation and distribution of quality independent filmmaking and to recognize excellence and diversity in cinema and to promote expression for filmmakers at all stages of their artistic careers.

 

The 2013 ifab took place at the Sputnick Movie Theater in Berlin, Kreuzberg, where Mother's Milk was nominaed for 5 awards and took home 2.

 

The International Film Awards Berlin culminates in the presentation of several awards, including the Grand Prize: the Brandenburg Gate Award. The ifab is currently accepting submissions for the 2014 season.

NYC Independent Film Festival is a celebration of the true independent filmmaker, documentaries, short and feature-length films, music videos, and animation. Whether a submission is comedic, dramatic, or something in between, The NYC Indie film Fest is eager to embrace fresh ideas and storytelling.

 

The festival aims to discover the Artist Filmmaker, showcasing them to the entertainment industry and the NYC public. All NYC Indie screenings take place in the historic center of NYC, Time Square which is the perfect home for an event geared toward creating incredible opportunities for independent voices.

 

NYC Indie Film Festival honors the Best in Category which includes Best Narrative Feature, Best Documentary, Best Short Documentary, Best Short Narrative, Best Super Short, Best Music Video, as well as Best Director and Best Screenplay.

 

Director Edward Pionke and actors Casey Chapman, Mackenzie Wilesworth and Vanessa Hughes will be in attendance! More info to come when they return!

Northwest Ohio Independent Film Festival

The Northwest Ohio Film Festival - the Foundation's main annual event, provides a cultural alternative to the commercial film experience, celebrating and promoting the artistic elements of the medium.

 

Fundamentally, it nurtures and promotes the art of filmmaking itself. The Northwest Ohio Independent Film Festival is meant to be a base to utilize, enjoy, learn, and discover, as well as become a workplace of inclusion and respect.


Their focus is on the development of creativity and ideas from independent filmmakers locally and from around the nation.

 

Director Edward Pionke and actors Casey Chapman, Mackenzie Wilesworth were in attendance. They were nominated for 7 awards and took home 3.
